SUMMARY:

They are the key to uncovering financial crimes and other wrongdoings. Therefore, it is essential to ensure strong whistleblower mechanisms in every workplace, both in public and in private sector.
Presentation will give an overview of the importance of whistleblower protection and encouragement, practical examples of the whistleblower mechanism in action, and will cover the work of Transparency International Latvia in supporting that and other initiatives aimed towards a world free from corruption and financial crime.
